Took another shot at learning to speak on camera today.  Here's the video with my personal notes after watching it!

Improvements compared to the last one:

• I found it much easier to create a structured conversation without relying on any notes.  Still not as good as while I'm writing, but hey, it's only the third time.  Probably would've explained this better with a whiteboard though.  Food for thought 😉

• I actually wore a clean shirt for this one 😉

• Both my girlfriend and a good friend came up with the idea of drawing a face and hanging it behind the camera.  I could tell it did a great job at making me more comfortable while speaking to a bunch of air in front of me.  One downside is that it now looks as if I'm looking "at" the lens.  Instead of "into it".  Still an improvement though 🙂

Things that were not so good:

• It was too long.  I reached the "filming limit" on my phone and had to add the last 30 seconds or so in a second video, which break the flow a little.

• While the "ehm" sounds have gotten a lot better and the lip smacking is as good as gone, I now noticed a lot of filler words, like "like", "you know" or "aaaand...".

Any feedback that can help me get past the phase of sucking with this skill is still as welcome as ever of course 😉

If you enjoyed the subject but couldn't bear to watch me going through the learning process so far, check out some of my written articles instead 😉

Much love!
